Robin’s egg update

August 13, 2009 at 7:11 am 1 comment

I’m losing hope for the robin’s nest in our front yard.  It takes 12 to 14 days for the eggs to hatch.  I wrote about discovering the little blue egg on July 21.  That’s over 20 days ago.  Perhaps the egg has been there for even longer.  Also, it seems that robins usually lay 3 to 4 eggs at a time, although there is no evidence of other eggs or hatchlings.

I’m sad.

Here’s a happier story by somone who discovered a bird’s nest on her trellis.
